Etsu is an artisanal gin born from an ancestral recipe. It means “pleasure” in Japanese.

Made at the Akita distillery in the north of Honshū Island, Etsu Double Orange gin is distinguished by a long maceration of the traditional botanicals for 7 days before being distilled without the botanicals for more finesse and elegance. The use of water from the Ōu Mountains, the longest mountain range in Japan, brings purity and freshness.

Japanese bitter orange peel, juniper berries, liquorice and angelica roots and coriander seeds harmonise beautifully in this gin with its fresh and fruity notes.

A true ode to Japan, Etsu Double Orange is ideal for cocktails or with a tonic.

Etsu Orange Gin & Tonic

A burst of sun-kissed citrus fruit in a bright, mouth-watering G&T.

Ingredients :

  • Etsu Double Orange | 5 cl
  • Mediterranean Tonic | 10 cl
  • Citrus peel | 1

Preparation :

  1. Pour the gin into the glass.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. Add the tonic, stir and add the citrus peel.

Japanese Martinez

Ingredients :

  • Etsu Double Orange | 6 cl
  • Red Vermouth | 2 cl
  • Umeshu | 2 cl
  • Dash of Bitter Angostura | 2 cl

Preparation :

  1. In a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, add the ingredients and mix and stir vigorously.
  2. Strain into an old fasioned glass and squeeze out the juice of an orange.
